Inventory Technician

About the Position

We are looking for an Inventory Technician to join our team in Saint-Eustache.

Reporting to the Branch Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring inventory accuracy, performing physical counts, and keeping inventory information up to date in our systems.

We are looking for an organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated individual who enjoys working in a dynamic environment and understands the importance of inventory accuracy to the smooth operation of the business.

Main Responsibilities

  • Perform cycle counts and physical inventory counts;
  • Verify product quantities, locations, and identification;
  • Prepare and process material shipments to customers;
  • Place orders with suppliers;
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies;
  • Analyze and correct discrepancies between physical inventory and system records;
  • Perform inventory adjustments according to established procedures;
  • Ensure proper identification and organization of merchandise;
  • Verify the accuracy of incoming and outgoing inventory transactions;
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory information in the computer system;
  • Participate in improving inventory management methods and procedures;
  • Report any discrepancies, losses, damages, or situations that may affect inventory accuracy;
  • Perform other related tasks associated with inventory and warehouse operations.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Experience in inventory, warehousing, logistics, or a similar position;
  • Comfortable working with data and computer systems;
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy;
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks;
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the team;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Punctual, reliable, and professional;
  • Fluent in both French and English, spoken and written;
  • Must have a vehicle and be able to travel as required.

Must Have

  • Inventory, warehouse, or logistics experience
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good computer skills and ability to work with inventory systems
  • Fluent in both French and English, spoken and written
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle
